Most Wanted: LOST Edition

I know, I know. I’ve been MIA lately, and when I do pop in all I talk about is LOST! Well, no worries my friends. The end is nigh. After Monday, both the show, and my fan-crazed posts, will come to an end (seriously – come back next week for the launch of a brand new feature!). But for now, I will remember my LOST friends fondly, and look forward to a satisfying conclusion. In fact, I plan on getting together with my friends tomorrow, as I do each week, to marvel at the final installment of the six-year spectacle. In honor of the occasion, I will be making treats that represent some of my favorite aspects of the show.

We already know that I love Dr. Jack Shephard, and while I was tempted to make some adorable heart shaped cookies in his honor I decided to look a little deeper into what make’s him so great. That is when I landed on the all-American classic known as Grilled Cheese. To fancy things up a bit I will make mini sandwiches with Pepper Jack cheese. Get it? Oh, and I have to point out that the sandwiches will be hot, just like Jack.

One of my favorite characters has got to be Claire (I like her – so sue me). To this day, her relationship with Charlie makes my heart flutter. Plus, whenever we play the “which character in LOST are you?” game I am always Claire (by choice – my friends might say I was Shannon…). You may remember that Claire loves peanut butter, and that Charlie was determined to find some for her. Enter the peanut butter bar. I think it speaks for itself.

Lastly, I will be making my very own good and evil cookies to represent one of the central themes of the show. These shortbread-esque sugar cookies will be half vanilla and half chocolate. I am sure we will have trouble determining which side is our favorite.
Here’s hoping some delicious snacks will help me through this emotional ending! How are you preparing?
Don’t forget to check back next week for a brand-spankin’-new feature, and some cool projects I’ve been keeping up my sleeve!
