Wanted: A New Sofa!

I have the best news! I’ve rid myself of the biggest eyesore in my living room! Remember this post about my crush on gray upholstery? It featured a lovely sofa from Gus*. Unfortunately, the lovely sofa featured a less than lovely price.



Enter my unhealthy Craigslist stalking. I was lucky enough to find the same sofa (mine is a sofa, not a sectional) for a fraction of the price. A fraction! A little bargaining, a red pick-up, and lots of help from friends later, and I’m happily enjoying my fancy new sofa!



It’s upholstered in a neutral, but sophisticated gray tweed. I’m thrilled that it features clean lines and button tufts, so it brings together both the modern and traditional elements in my living room (like my long, modern coffee table and my tufted wing-back chairs).



Doesn’t it look a million times better than the old slip-covered hand-me-down? I’m delighted to report that it is also a million times more comfortable.

Now I get to begin a search for the perfect pillows. I’m thinking some nice feminine ruffles will balance out the tailored lines of the sofa. What do you think?
