Wanted: Post Christmas Wrap-Up

How are you, dear friends, faring after the holiday? I hope Santa brought you everything you could want and more! I must have been good, because I was blessed not only with good family, but with a few key items I’ve been yearning for in my home as well.

My aunt and uncle graced me with a beautiful red enamel cast iron dutch oven, very similar to this one from Lodge:



I prepared a lovely roasted pork loin in the dutch oven for my family for (my first ever) Christmas dinner and it was a huge success! I was nervous about over/under-cooking, but it turned out to be moist and delicious. If you don’t have one already, I highly recommend such a tool for your kitchen.

Speaking of Christmas dinner, here’s a shot of my humble table setting. I was particularly happy to break out my ever-burgeoning hobnail milk glass pieces!
