Wanted: A Cozy Couch

Hi there! Sicky McSickly here. I was out sick all last week! Before you run away screaming, no, I was not knocked down by the dreaded H1N1 virus – just your garden variety cold.

I spent three whole days sitting on my hand-me-down couch watching tv shows that consumed me in high school. (Who am I kidding? They are just as dramatic to me now – I have the emotional maturity of a 13 year old girl.) The week camped out on my couch brought me to a startling conclusion: I am in dire need of some throw pillows!

Let’s set the stage: my couch (circa 1985) is a sleeper sofa made of the itchiest fabric known to man and features a bar running the length of the couch that has the sole purpose of giving you a sore back.

I have some grandiose plans of sewing up some pretty sweet custom pillows, but my inner lazy bum wants these:





Aren’t they too cute? These pillow covers by Hettle are darling. They suit my inner 13 year old just fine. What is your throw pillow philosophy? Pile them on, or use sparingly?
