WANTED: Where the Wild Things Are

No, I’m not talking about the adorable children's book turned much-anticipated film. I’m talking about animal print in home décor.

I’m not crazy about animal print. I think it is a slippery slope, and I’ve seen way too many “accidental” overdoses on the leopard print. Sometimes, however, the look of the wild can add an air of sophistication. It’s probably something about the texture. Take this great French-style chair for example.

I love how subtle this print is! It seems really unexpected, and just bold enough for my pastel-lovin’ self. It’s really well upholstered, and the shape fits in with even the most traditional of looks.

What do you think? Is animal print your go-to choice for sexy-ing things up, or do you prefer a more subtle approach?

I'm with you -- I usually stray from animal print, but I surprisingly like this chair. Good find.
